Wo Unterhaltung Wirklichkeit simuliert und Wirklichkeit zur Unterhaltung wird, porträtieren wir den Alltag – und Menschen, die sich darin öffnen. Where entertainment simulates reality and reality is turned into entertainment, we portray everyday life – and the people who open up within it.
Unsere Filme erzählen von einem Flugzeugabsturz, der ein Land erschütterte; vom Missbrauch an einem Internat, das als Vorbild galt; von einem Rapper hinter seiner Bühnenfigur; von einem Mann, der zur Zielscheibe des Internets wurde. Komplexe Themen, die Sensibilität verlangen statt Sensation. Wer uns seine Geschichte anvertraut, hat oft Traumatisches erlebt oder ist über sich hinausgewachsen. Keine gestellten, keine ausgestellten Emotionen. Was bewegt, ist die Begegnung selbst – Vertrauen, Nähe, Zeit.
Our films tell of a plane crash that shook a nation; of abuse at a boarding school once held up as a model; of a rapper behind his stage persona; of a man who became the target of the internet. Complex subjects that demand sensitivity rather than sensation. Those who entrust us with their stories have often lived through trauma or grown beyond themselves. No staged emotions, none put on display. What moves is the encounter itself – trust, closeness, time.

Wir tauschen Geschwindigkeit gegen Zeit. Bevor eine Filmkamera läuft, arbeitet Nils Bökamp mit der Fotokamera – wochenlang, oft monatelang. Sie ist Annäherung und Suche zugleich: Die Protagonisten gewöhnen sich an den Blick, das Misstrauen weicht, und aus hunderten von Aufnahmen bildet sich die Bildsprache des Films heraus. Aus diesem Material wählt Florian Thiemann ein einziges Schlüsselbild und übersetzt es in ein Gemälde. Im besten Fall trägt dieses eine Bild die Emotion eines Menschen, eines Themas, eines ganzen Films.
Resistance ist eine Haltung gegen Bilder und Erzählungen, die Wirklichkeit behaupten, ohne ihr je begegnet zu sein.
We trade speed for time. Before a film camera rolls, Nils Bökamp works with a still camera – for weeks, often months. It is both a way in and a search: the protagonists grow used to the gaze, mistrust gives way, and out of hundreds of photographs the visual language of the film takes shape. From this material Florian Thiemann selects a single key image and translates it into a painting. At its best, this one image carries the emotion of a person, a subject, an entire film.
Resistance is a stance against images and narratives that claim reality without ever having encountered it.
Wer wir sindWho we are
Nils Bökamp Regisseur, Produzent und Fotograf, hat Dokumentarfilme und Serien für die großen internationalen Sender und Streamer realisiert und von 2019 bis 2021 bei Netflix Original-Dokumentationen für den deutschsprachigen Raum verantwortet.
Florian Thiemann Maler und Regisseur, Absolvent der Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft (2025), wurde bei der Kunst10Daagse Bergen ausgezeichnet und ist 2026 mit einer Sonderausstellung im Museum Kranenburgh vertreten.
Nils fotografiert, Florian malt, die Edition entsteht gemeinsam.

Nils Bökamp Director, producer and photographer, has made documentaries and series for the major international broadcasters and streamers and, from 2019 to 2021, commissioned original documentaries for the German-speaking region at Netflix.
Florian Thiemann Painter and director, a 2025 graduate of Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences, was awarded at the Kunst10Daagse Bergen and is presented in a special exhibition at Museum Kranenburgh in 2026.
Nils photographs, Florian paints, the edition is made together.

Gemälde als Unikate. Fotografien und Schlüsselbilder als Fine Art Prints in streng limitierten Auflagen – 15 Exemplare im großen, 25 im kleinen Format, nummeriert und signiert, einmal festgelegt und nie erhöht. Jeder Print entsteht in Zusammenarbeit mit WhiteWall, einem der führenden Labore für Fine-Art-Produktion.
Zu jedem Bild gehört ein Werkdossier: Wo das Foto entstand, was dort geschah, wie daraus das Gemälde wurde. Wir veröffentlichen es online und als kleines Booklet, das den Film begleitet. Jeder Käufer eines Originals oder eines Prints erhält das Werkdossier zu seinem Bild.
Paintings as unique works. Photographs and key images as fine art prints in strictly limited editions – 15 in the large format, 25 in the small, numbered and signed, fixed once and never increased. Every print is produced in collaboration with WhiteWall, one of the leading labs for fine art production.
Each image comes with its own work dossier: where the photograph was taken, what happened there, how it became the painting. We publish it online and as a small booklet that accompanies the film. Every buyer of an original or a print receives the work dossier for their image.

Unser Ladenlokal liegt im Holländischen Viertel: Mittelstraße 40, 14467 Potsdam. Termine nach Vereinbarung – oder einfach klingeln, wenn wir vor Ort sind. Wir freuen uns auf den Austausch.
Wir kuratieren regelmäßig Ausstellungen, die ausschließlich auf private Einladung stattfinden – jede zeigt eine neue Serie. Wer dazugehören möchte, schreibt uns auf Instagram oder über unser Kontaktformular. Instagram ist unser Fenster nach außen: Prozess, Atelier, Orte. Unsere Filme laufen auf den großen Streamingplattformen; Sendetermine kündigen wir dort an.
